Accordion-style Scene Card

Hi! Today I'm on the Craftin Desert Divas blog to share a quick tutorial on making an Accordion card...and a bonus scene! Accordion cards are some of the easiest "fun fold" cards out there, and look so elegant when complete! Here's my project:

Now, let's get started!

For this project, you will need:
STEP 1. Using your 4.25" x 11" cardstock base, divide into quarters and score: 2.75", 5.5" 8.25". Fold on score lines, alternating valley and mountain fold. This will result in an "M" shape. And...now your basic accordion fold card base is complete...seriously.

STEP 2. Center the Blooming Tree stencil on your extra 4.25" x 11" piece, and color up. I chose to outline the tree and then color with Copics.

STEP 3. Cut your kraft cardstock to size to matte each of the 4 panels of your card. Then, divide your tree. To cut the tree, start by cutting at the 5.5" mark. Then, measure off your 4 panels.

STEP 4. Now all that's left to do is adhere your tree and decorate! I added some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to each tree panel before adhering it. Have fun creating a fun scene of your own!

Here are the colors I chose for my design:
mice - C5, 4, 2
pink - RV34, 11
yellow - Y26, 13
blue - BG49, 45
peach - YR65, 00
tree - G05, YG09, E59, 57, 55, 53, 51
frog - YG09, 07, 23

Thanks for popping by today!
